28 Mar Real Madrid, Atlético Madrid and Real Sociedad are the three most-mentioned clubs of the weekend on Twitter
Last weekend, November 25th, 26th and 27th marked the 13th round of The Santander League, and as in previous rounds, we have analyzed its impact on Twitter. In total we analyzed 222,950 tweets sent by 126,271 users, which averages 1.76 tweets per person.

The match that was most talked about this weekend was #OsasunaAtleti, with around 4,000 tweets during the game. The second most-mentioned game of the round was #SevillaFCValencia, which received more than 3,000 tweets.

We can see the cloud of topics from this game to the right, where the most-repeated topics are “partidazo”, “points”, the final score which was “2-1”, among others. The third most popular game was #RealMadridSporting, very similar to the #RealSociedadBarça game. On the left we can see the cloud of topics from the game between Real Madrid and Sporting, where the most repeated term was “doublet”, referring to the two goals scored by Cristiano Ronaldo. “Rain”, “equiptment” and “shrit” also appear. The last two terms refer to Madrid´s uniforms that ended up totally discolored from the heavy rain.
In terms of games, Real Madrid is the most mentioned team with more then 30,000 tweets. The second most mentioned team, as usual, is Atlético de Madrid, with more than 15,000 mentions, and very close behind is Real Sociedad, the team that faced Barcelona and tied them. The official profile of La Liga, again, has been one of the most mentioned of the weekend.
